CHATEAU HOSANNA 2018, Pomerol

For a $60ish bottle, this drinks way above its weight class — the black cherry and raspberry notes are incredibly pure. That silky smooth texture lingered on my palate for a good minute after each sip, and it paired beautifully with a simple steak dinner.

Opened this last night and the forest floor and black raspberry notes really came through—complex but not overwhelming. Silky smooth texture made it dangerously easy to drink.

This 2018 Pomerol is beautifully balanced—the black cherry and raspberry flavors are bright but not jammy. The silky, smooth texture really makes it a pleasure to drink now, though I'm curious to see how it evolves over the next few years.
