I opened the box and that tangy, grassy smell immediately told me this wasn't some mass-produced block. The firm double Gloucester layers cut cleanly, and the mellow sharpness really comes through on the tongue.

I was a little worried about the texture being too soft, but the Double Gloucester layers hold their shape well and the tangy flavor really comes through. Perfect with some crusty bread and a beer.
