"Time spent in our newly established bespoke oak Gathering Vat where whiskies from several cask types - including; sweet Pedro Ximenez; spicy virgin charred oak; and intense ex-bourbon casks, amongst others - familiarise themselves with each other. The result is a dram with smoky power, mellowed by a delectable, smooth sweetness. Hallmark Ardbeg peat, dark chocolate and aniseed are wrapped in smooth, silky butterscotch, black pepper and clove, before rising to an intense crescendo of flavour." - Distillery

Hannah W. ★★★★★

The charred virgin oak comes through with a nice peppery kick that balances the sweetness beautifully, and the finish lingers longer than I expected.

Natalie J. ★★★★★

The Pedro Ximenez casks add such a subtle sweetness that balances the peat perfectly without overpowering it. I’ve been sipping this neat and it’s dangerously easy to finish a glass too quickly.

Jason D. ★★★★★

The virgin charred oak casks give it a nice spicy kick that balances perfectly with the sweet Pedro Ximenez finish. I've been sipping it neat and the complexity just keeps unfolding with each pour.
