Mascarpone-origanlly from Lombardy is a delight. Pale-blond color: soft, smooth, like cake icing, sweet, rich, creamlike flavor. Fantastic base for sweet or savory preparations. Equally delicious with fresh berries, Tiramisu or garlic, mustard and herbs as a dip or spread for grilled bread. Terrific with a swirl of lemon curd served with a sweet cracker or pound cake.
