Category: CHEESE & DAIRY

Classic, mellow cheese originally produced by Trappist monks in the early 19th century. Today Port Salut is manufactured by the French industrial cheese giant S.A.F.R. The famous rind is dyed bright orange through the use of an Annato extract. Very similar to Danish Esrom and nearly identical to French St. Paulin. Sometimes underated, tasty cheese. Excellent melter!

Kevin M. ★★★★★

I was a bit skeptical about the texture, but it’s surprisingly creamy and smooth for a semi-soft cheese. The rind’s bright orange color really stands out on a cheese board, and the mild, buttery flavor is perfect for breakfast.

Abigail B. ★★★★★

The texture is exactly what I hoped for—smooth and creamy with that mild, buttery tang. It melted beautifully over a simple pasta dish last night, proving why it's such a classic.

Michael ★★★★☆

Nice and creamy texture, melts beautifully on a warm cracker. I wish the flavor was just a bit stronger, but it's a solid choice for a mild cheese plate.
