I was skeptical about whiskey in a salami, but the rye spirit gives it a warmth that lingers nicely without being boozy. Sliced thin on a cheese board, the orange zest and spice balanced each other perfectly, making it dangerously easy to finish the whole 5 oz in one sitting.

The orange zest really comes through on the finish, brightening up that deep rye and spice backbone. I sliced it thin for a bourbon tasting and it disappeared before the glasses were empty. Even the texture is spot on — firm but not dry.
