The roasted espresso finish really lingers on the palate, and that muscular tannic structure gives it a bold, chewy feel that’s perfect for a steak dinner. I’ve had younger Napa cabs, but this 20-year-old bottle has a depth that’s hard to beat.

Those blackberry notes are front and center, exactly as described, with a powerful tannic grip that demands a hearty steak. It’s a serious, structured wine that’s still impressively smooth for its age.

The roasted espresso note really comes through on the finish, which I wasn't expecting from a Napa Cab. This is a serious, muscular wine that needs at least an hour in the decanter, but once it opens up, the blackberry fruit is incredibly deep. Definitely worth the price for a special occasion bottl
