Category: SINGLE MALT SCOTCH

It starts in the fields of Cognac, France, from two organically grown types of heirloom barley. After careful fermentation and distillation in an alembic still, Brenne Ten rests for a decade in a combination of virgin French Limousin oak barrels and barrels previously used for aging Cognac. This limited edition bottle is a marraige of individual casks of 10-year old Brenne Whisky, thoughtfully and personally selected by Master Distiller, Allison Pastel. They proofed this to 48% abv using the exquisite water form nearby Charente, and bottled it by hand. Loads of dried fruits, spiced wood, toasted vanilla and light floral essence. The silky mouthfeel delivers Brenne’s signature smoothness with spicy black tea, chocolate, dried orange peel, and vanilla cream topped with cinnamon sugar. The finish has hints of honeyed spice and rich. creamy, crème brûlée. There was less than 800 bottles produced, so treat yourself!

Sofia ★★★★★

The ten years in the alembic still gave this a smooth, mellow finish that I wasn’t expecting from a French single malt; sipping it neat was a real treat.

Harper ★★★★★

The heirloom barley really comes through in the finish—smooth and subtly sweet without being cloying. Warming a glass in my hand brought out a layer of oak from that decade in the French cask.

Owen L. ★★★★★

Ten years in that Cognac cask did wonders—the organic barley gives it this rich, honeyed warmth that lingers long after each sip. I've been slow-pouring it over a single ice cube and honestly, it's worth every penny for such a smooth French single malt.
