Where can a surfer catch some killer waves offshore from one of the earliest fishing villages on the Aberdeenshire Coast and get a killer single malt Scotch whiskey? Sandend, my friend. Glenglassaugh "Sandend" is distilled with mineral-rich spring water & nourished by the sea air. It is matured in Bourbon, Sherry & Manzanilla casks. The nose & mouth provide glimpses of butter, vanilla ice-cream, tropical fruit, grapefruit, cherry, chocolate and sea salt.

Zoe ★★★★★

The coastal brine and honey sweetness in this is exactly what I wanted from a Scotch that's made right by the sea. It has a long, warming finish that lingers nicely without being harsh.

Opened this after a long beach walk and the saltiness hit me right away—like sea spray in a glass. The finish is surprisingly smooth for a whiskey with this much coastal character. Definitely my new go-to for lazy afternoons.

Robert H. ★★★★★

The coastal influence really comes through in this whiskey—there's a briny, sea-salt note that pairs perfectly with the smooth, malty finish. I've been sipping it neat and the complexity keeps me coming back for another pour.
