Opened this with some roast lamb and the violet and black berry notes really came through nicely. The finish lingered just long enough to make the last glass the best one.

The violet and blackberry aromas hit you right away, and that subtle hint of liquorice adds a nice complexity. It drinks surprisingly smooth for a bold syrah, with a rich finish that lingers just long enough.

Opened it last night with some roasted lamb, and the liquorice hint on the finish was more subtle than the description led me to believe. It’s a decent syrah with decent structure, but for the price I’d expect a bit more depth on the palate.
